Terms of Service
Plain-English terms for using VibeShields. Last updated 2 November 2026.
About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and VibeShields, a service run from the United Arab Emirates (“we”, “us”). By ticking “I agree” when you sign in, you accept them. Version 2 November 2026. If we change them in a way that matters, we will email you and ask you to agree again.
Who can use VibeShields
- You must be 18 or older.
- If you use VibeShields for a company, you confirm you are allowed to agree to these terms for it.
Permission to check an app
Checking a website without its owner's permission can be a crime. So for every app or website you add, you promise that:
- you own it, or you have written permission from its owner to have it tested;
- you will remove it from VibeShields as soon as that stops being true;
- you will only connect databases (such as Supabase or Firebase projects) that belong to that app.
You also prove ownership with a DNS record or a file, and we check that proof again before every check. If you give us false permission, you are responsible for the consequences and agree to cover our costs and any claims against us that result from it.
What the service is, and what it is not
- VibeShields sends automated, read-only requests to look for a limited list of common problems, such as open databases and leaked keys. See what the checks do.
- It is not a penetration test, a security audit or a certification (it is not SOC 2, ISO 27001 or PCI).
- Results can miss real problems and can flag things that are not problems.
- A result that says no problems were found means none were found in the checks we ran on that date. It does not mean the app is secure.
Fixes and AI-written text
- Fix prompts and steps are suggestions. You decide whether to use them and you apply them at your own risk. Back up first, review the change your builder makes, and test before publishing.
- Explanations and Ask VibeShields answers are written by AI and can be wrong. Check them before acting on them.
The “Checked by VibeShields” badge
We give you a revocable licence to show the badge on the verified app it was made for. It shows the date of your last check. It pauses when a check finds serious problems, says “check overdue” after 14 days without a check, and stops working if ownership lapses or your account ends. Do not change it or present it as a guarantee. See what the badge means.
Acceptable use
You must not:
- add an app you do not own or are not authorised to test, or try to get around ownership checks;
- use VibeShields or its results to attack, extort, embarrass or harm anyone;
- resell checks or run them for other people without their written permission;
- overload, scrape, probe or reverse-engineer VibeShields, or use it to attack others;
- paste keys, passwords, other people's personal data or anything unlawful into Ask VibeShields.
We may pause checks or close an account if we reasonably suspect misuse.
Keeping findings private
Findings describe weaknesses in your app, so we show them only to your account. We never publish them, and we never use your findings in marketing without your written permission. If a finding means personal data may have been exposed, you may have duties to your users or a regulator; those duties are yours as the app's owner.
Paid plans
VibeShields is free while in early access. Before we charge anything, we will publish prices, renewal and refund terms, and an easy way to cancel online, and ask you to agree to them.
Liability
- We provide VibeShields “as is”, without promises that it will find every problem or be available at all times.
- As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost profits, or data loss, and our total liability to you is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (or USD 100 if you paid nothing).
- Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Ending your account
You can stop using VibeShields at any time. To delete your account and data, email hello@vibeshields.com. We may end or suspend accounts that break these terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of the United Arab Emirates handle disputes, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be taken away. Questions: hello@vibeshields.com.
